In the bottom of the triangle, it’s system OS layer. At this layer, Linux has rich high-performance products. For example, Linux Workstation, Linux Server, Linux DataServer, Linux Server for S390, Linux OS for Alpha, Linux OS for IA64 and so on. What we provided to our customer is a robust, tuned, stable OS. They are the foundation of the total solution. Above the OS layer, it’s system middleware software, including backup software, cluster software, HA software, firewall software and so on. It has very closed relationship with OS. We have 3 ways to provide these software to our customer, Rich excellent free software, eg, IPChinas for firewall, SQUID for cache server, OpenSSL for security. Individual products, eg, Linux Cluster Server, Linux Enfuzion, Linux TurboHA Server. We have worldwide famous partner. We have bundle product with CA ARCserve, that is Linux PowerBackup, and we have good partnership with CheckPoint, Veritas and so on. Above the system middleware layer, it’s application middleware. It’s more closer to application than system, including mail server, web server, database server and so on. We have also 3 ways to provide these software to our customers, Rich excellent free software, eg, Apache for web server, MySQL for database, SendMail for mail server. We have worldwide big name partners too. We have bundle product with Oracle, IBM ( Small Business Suite ), PowerScan. We have very good partnership with BEA, Sybase, Informix and so on. Above the application middleware layer, it’s horizontal applications. Horizontal applications means commercial applications which can be used by all industries, for example, web mail system, CRM, OA software. On the top of all, it’s vertical application.
