Methods Based on the inherent characteristics of the international students, considering the advantages of problem-based learning (PBL) and lecture-based learning (LBL) modes, double-track teaching mode combined PBL and LBL (3/4 PBL and 1/4 LBL) was adopted in the clinical practice teaching of congenital heart disease, which is one of the key points and difficult sections of pediatrics. Results Under the double-track teaching model of combined PBL and LBL (3/4 PBL and 1/4 LBL), the results showed there existed high degree of students acceptance. Evaluations of class teaching effects, final test and practical application ability were all perfect. Double-track teaching mode has improved the teaching and learning quality of has been praised highly by the international students. Conclusion There have perfect effects in clinical practice under double-track teaching model combined PBL and LBL And it is worth to have further research about PBL and LBL combined teaching model.
