Abs tract: Based on themeteorological observation data, the article analyses the connection betw een the annual fre-
quency change of dust storm and clmi ate factors in Northern China. The resu lts show that ( 1) the frequency of dust
storm is not complete consistentw ith the distribution of w ind days in northern Ch ina and it is most affected by the
regional characteristic cond itions; ( 2) the frequency change of dust storm reflects the decreasing occurrence trend
of dust storm, w hich is fairly consistentw ith the continual temperature rising and summer precip itation increase in
northern China; ( ) accord ing to the annual and quarterly frequency change character,
