Myself and the last Chinese New Year My last Chinese New Year’s beginning was awful! I woke up twelve o’clock at night (I didn’t know the time then) and found out my glasses were gone! I looked for them over and over, but I couldn’t find them. At last I found out that they were under my bed! I wasn’t upset yet but then I found that it’S still in the middle of the night! Ahh! I was so upset that I JUMPED up and fell over on the desk, the desk fell over, too. Finally it’s 7 o’clock, and the New Year was about to begin and… the door OPENED WITH A THUD. It was my mother. “ Happy New Year! ” she cried. It was like she wanted to let the whole world to know it. ‘‘We are in Beijing now!” Myself and the last Chinese New Year Beijing remains to be the city with the worst air quality in China, probably in the whole world. But it’s also the city which celebrates the best New Year—it’s also a noisy one! Fireworks were everywhere—in the parks and on the streets and even on the buildings! It was a noisy day.
