本文通过总结大量现有绩效考核的理论,结合本人在成人高校中的工 作经验,就如何做好成人高校的绩效考核工作,完善相关的方法与指标体 系进行一些研究,并提出自己的一些观点。 关键词:成人高校,绩效考核,问题,对策 Research on Performance Appraisal of Teachers in Continuing Education Institutions ABSTRACT It is the success of education that determines China’s future. In both regular universities and continuing education institutions, the quality of education relies on the quality of their teachers. With the current surviving pressure in the highly competing continuing education system, any institution that aspires to fulfill its responsibility and achieve further improvement must develop a highly competitive team of teachers. To nurture a high quality team of teachers, a well-designed performance appraisal is one basic prerequisite, which must be based on the mission of the school and the characters of teachers’ responsibilities. Using a systemic process and scientific methodology, the designer should collect relevant evaluating information to assess teacher’s individual performance, so as to improve the teaching effectiveness and the development of continuing education system as a whole. Therefore, exploring a reasonable performance appraisal system that conforms to the norm of continuing education is of extraordinary importance to both intuitions’ development and teachers’ self-growth. Currently, while many institutions are aware of the importance of performance evaluation, and have achieved some progress and accumulated some experienced, there is still much room for further development due to the uniqueness, independence and complexity of the continuing education system. For example, the evaluation criteria were not well-designed, the weights of some item were not sound, the assessment systems emphasized punishment while overlooked development. Thus, it is of essence to design an effective and scientific teachers’ performance evaluation system that can support the improvement of higher education and management of human capital, satisfying teachers themselves in the same
