EXPLORATION OF THE OVERALL PROTECTION ON INDUSTRIAL HERITAGE: Case Study on the Protection Planning of the North Navy’s Taku Dockyard Ji Hong, Xu Subin, Nobuo Aoki ABSTRACT/ The paper introduces the preservation efforts on North Navy’s Taku Dockyard and discusses the method of “overall protection” for keeping the value of industrial heritage. Based on the case study, the paper further identifies the current restrictions on reutilizing the industrial heritage which is inscribed as National Key Cultural Relics, and the paper provides a preliminary exploration on the establishment method of the conservation planning for the industrial heritage.
