1) To use pictures to help understand new words and to use the dictionary to check meanings.
2) To read a text quickly to find specific information.
3) To practise the Present Simple Passive, Present Continuous Passive, Past Simple Passive, Present Perfect Passive and Past Continous Passive.
2. Process and methods
1) Enable students learn three traditional Chinese festivals: the Mid-Autumn Festival, the Lantern Festival and the Dragon Boat Festival.
2) Make students talk about Chinese traditional festivals.
3) Enable students to use the Passive correctly.
3. Emotion, attitude and values
1) Make students learn Chinese and western festivals.
2) Encourage students find more information about festivals and traditions.

Easter Traditions
When it’s Easter in the UK, the shops are full of Easter eggs, hot-cross buns and Easter bunnies.
Although Easter is widely seen as a Christian(基督教的) festival which celebrates the resurrection of Jesus, it came into being before Christianity and many of its symbols come from the earliest civilizations(文明).
Our modern festival came from ancient seasonal ceremony which marked the change from the death of winter to the new life and rebirth of spring.
These days we give chocolate eggs as gifts at Easter but eggs have been symbols of rebirth for thousands of years.
