II II Abstract At present, insufficiency of demand in economic operation of China is insufficiency of consumption demand, especially insufficiency of rural residents consumption demand. China has more than 1.3 billion population, most of them in the countryside. So the key to expand domestic demand is in the countryside, the difficulty is also in the countryside. How to enlarge the consumption demand of rural residents has become an important problem which must be solved in the economic development. Therefore, the research on the causes and countermeasures of insufficiency of present rural residents consumption demand in China has important theoretical and practical significance. In recent years, there are quite many articles about the consumption demand. Different people have different views. But some problems still deserves further investigation. In my opinion, we should analyze the cause of insufficiency of present rural residents consumption demand from deeper aspect. Because of this, the writer combines the latest materials information on the basis of domestic and international existing research results, to study launch more research deeply and systematically on the question of the aforesaid with nature research and quantitative research combined together. The article based on expanding rural residents consumption demand as the main line in present, firstly reviewed about the problem of rural residents consumption research, especially about the latest research progress in the western consumption theory for text prepared theoretical foil. Then the article analyzes the current situation about the insufficiency of rural residents consumption demand and its negative impact to economic society.
