Studying interdisciplinary research based on bibliometrics is an important approach, which is conducive to understand and grasp interdisciplinary research on the properties and the structure. On the basis of summarizing and reviewing the history and concepts and methods of interdisciplinary research, the authors deeply study the relative results and theory of interdisciplinary research and the extent of disciplinary crossing based on bibliometrics, comparatively analyze of main cross-disciplinary index, and put forward the theoretical and practical aspects of idea and recommendations of interdisciplinary study.
