This paper combines with the current development status and research hotspot, proposing a network video surveillance system solutions which based on embedded Linux operation system and ARM microprocessor as development platform, using the classic B/S architecture, taking the monitoring equipment connected to the Internet Ethernet, Using V4L interface provided by Linux kernel to capture image, and takes Web server back to the client display after processing image through M-JPEG video compression algorithm, authorized users can multiply view the monitoring points information through mobile phone or PC in anywhere or anytime.
