The paper mainly introduces the structure ，principle and application of casing sleeve for the stepless fracturing in foreign coun- tries. It expounds the characteristics of the sleeve ，such as simple construction procedure ，low costs ，no restriction of fracture series ， path retention of string and selective closure of sleeve in the later stage of production． The study is intended to provide the reference and technological support for the yield technology and the development of matching tools in China ’s unconventional reservoirs. Meanwhile ， it is pointed out that the localization of the sleeve in China should focus on such aspects as reliable tool structure ，simple technology ， high temperature and high pressure
