The 2015 / 5th “Chinese Bridge” U.S. Elementary School Chinese Language Contest “汉语桥” 小学生第五节中文比赛 Competition Details for Elementary Schools: Date of Competition: Saturday, May 2, 2015. 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. (Registrations due April 22; applicant notification April 24) Location: Stamp Student Union, University of Maryland College Park, MD. Hoff Theater Sponsor: Hanban (The Office of Chinese Language Council International) Co-sponsors: Confucius Institute at the University of Maryland (CIM) The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China Registration and Rules: 1. This contest is for Elementary level students, K-5 or K-6, depending on your school: * Elementary School teams will have a SPEECH and a culture PERFORMANCE; 2. You may be part of a TEAM effort, up to 12 students per team. Limit of 3 teams per school. 3. Heritage Chinese students already speaking Mandarin Chinese at home are NOT eligible. 4.
