In th is paper, these above-m entionedmethodsw ere in itially used to study the relationsh ip bewt een the soil erosion and su itable vegeta- tion coverage inWufendigou typical region in the Huangfuchuan V alley of the Y ellow R iver. It is proved by the field investigation that the RS method has h igher precision than the trad itional one, wh ich ind icates that them ethod is very usefu l for the soil erosion supervision in a small valley.
