The concept of [1-2] demand response virtual based power plant (DR-VPP) was proposed in this paper. The models of incentive-based and price-sensitive DR-VPP were built separately based on the different mechanism. Compared with the conventional power plant (CPP), the cost models of DR-VPP considering impact of uncertainty and constraints of operation considering DR characteristics were proposed. Along with the CPP, the DR-VPP can participate in day-ahead dispatch of system. Simulation results demonstrated that DR-VPP can be a substitute of CPP, reduce the operation cost and wind power (virtual power plantVPP) curtailment, and avoid load shedding. Consideration of uncertainty in cost model of DR-VPP improves system [3] reliability, decreases the risk cost and prompts the customers to improve their response reliability.
