Last but not the least, being exposed to news reports often allows adolescents to enhance their sensitivity and the ability to pick up useful information, which will gain themselves competitive advantage over their counterparts in this information age. However, although knowledge of international news has certain merits, its side effects should never be ignored. For instance, there are many negative reports regarding war, violence and crime, which may impose negative effects on youngsters’ psychological wellbeing. What’s worse, false or incomplete coverage misleads teenagers in their judgments and opinions on the world around them. Additionally, one more subject means that students have to spend more time and concentration, which increases the burden on students. They already have so heavy workloads.
