This paper has a practical significance to achieve green buildings in the case of limited funds by promote green buildings, protect environment and save energy by Optimal selection of the construction material. This paper analyzed the terms of the Evaluation Standard for Green Building and extracted all the construction materials concerned terms. Meanwhile, this paper analyzed green building materials certification system and established a practical materials library. This paper analysis the pros and cons of several common optimization methods. A properly method is selected based on the analysis above. And then this paper combined with the establishment of green building materials library and green construction materials to optimize 15th high-rise residential building in Xian International Studies University material. On the basis of investigation and the data collated from empirical analysis, this paper found that our country will get a prominent effect on the optimization of Chinese traditional buildings to meet the Evaluation Standard for Green Buildings. Although it may have an increase about 10% in the overall cost, we can get a far-reaching on the benefits of the environment.
