(Shanghai, 200070,China) Abstract Due to pyrolysis and thermal polymerization associated with high temperature during HTF cycling in heat supply system, polymer dope will be generated with forming sediment and coke. It could damage the instrument. The filter with proper mesh size is installed at inlet of circulation pump. The HTF leakage should be put an end during selecting of heat metering instrument. Welding should be used for pipeline connection. Bellows seal should be used instead of stuffing box. There are great differences among different grades of HTF in density, enthalpy and viscosity. Relative parameters of HTF should be accurate when enthalpy difference method is utilized to calculate heat flow.
