Brainstorm Ask the students to think about what festivals they know.What day/date is it today? What holiday is coming soon? Do you like…?Why? What are you going to do? Step 2. Warm-up Su Hai gets an email from her e-friend Ann in Hong Kong. Ask the students to look at the pictures and then learn or review the festivals. Step 3. Pre-reading Fast-reading Read the instant messages and choose the correct answer. Intensive-reading Read each paragraph and answer the questions. Read the passage again and do Exercise 3. Read the passage again and answer the question about Grace’s feeling and find the evidence. Let the students read after the tape. Step 4. Reading Ask the students to summarize the structure of present perfect question sentences. Ask the students to complete the table with have or has. Let the students do more exercises.
