AbstractVocational Abstract Vocational education is all important part of the education system in China.Witll the development of society and economy,the secondary vocational education,which is the foundation and the theme of the vocational education,has ushered in a new developing era.At present,the current vocational education system is faced with opportunities as well as challenges. One side is that a large number of skillful and excefient practitioners are needed to the development of social economy;the other side is that a large number of college graduates have a traditional”bridge”type thought about their employment,which causes the pressure of employment.As the talent cultivation and employment of the vane,the vocational education is the best bridge between the two parts.To ensule the development of the vocational education, our country has launched a series of policies and measures to accelerate the transformation of vocational education,in order to adapt the needs of the talented l弛lson5 who call suit the social and economic development,and to ease the pressure of employment. As a famous secondary vocational school of the Beibu咄region in the western China. Beihai Secondary Vocational and Technical School goes in the forefront of the vocational education reforln.and efforts to improve the vocational technical talents training level.In recent years,Beihai Secondary Vocational and Technical School focuses on taking the shell carving,the local characteristic crafts in Beihai City,into its course system of the vocational education.Many 10cal famous masters of shell carving arts are hired into the school to undertake the task of teaching.11硷School even sets up a”Master Carving Studio”for the education and teaching reform,and takes the”new relationship model between the teachers and students”.In this two-pronged way,the school is working on cultivating the shell carving talents and accumulating rich experience for the reforln of the secondary vocational education.
