Abstract Abstract DMR digital trunking communication standard is recently proposed by the European Telecommunications Standards Institute, compared with traditional analog systems and other digital systems, DMR system has the characteristics of high spectral efficiency, advanced control features and excellent audio performance, it can also be backwards compatible with the the analog trunking communication system, therefore it has been widely used in public service in the industry. The research and development of DMR terminal tends to be mature at home and abroad, but there always have some questions as follows: First, the integration of DMR dedicated chip is not so high that the existing mainstream development platform is still in accordance with the protocol hierarchical design which has low resource utilization. Then, the DMR physical layer uses 4CPM modulation method, yet the study based on 4CPM baseband signal processing techniques is relatively less. For this very reason, studying the key technology of DMR physical layer and designing its digital interphone prototype has high practical and using value. This thesis focuses on the DMR trunking communication standard, referring to its technical characteristics and air interface protocol, studies the key technologies of physical layer in DMR direct-mode machines.
