AbstractUrban Abstract Urban transport is an important guarantee for social and economic activities，It has a pivotal position in the process of urban development． With the accelerating urbanization process，traffic problems have become the main problem of urban development．It can promote coordinated development of economic，social，ecological and transportation by ecological transport and sustainable transport that is the main way to solve the traffic problems，which is the main direction of the future development of the city．At present，research on the theory system of Ecological Traffic and sustainable transportation is not perfect，empirical studies have yet to be strengthened．Based on the above background，this paper studies and optimizes the road traffic network of Dongting Lake Ecological Economic Zone base on the concept of ecological transportation and sustainable transportation． Firstly，the paper summary the main content of transportation network research in domestic and international，and discusses the core content and requirements of the ecological traffic theory，ecological economy theory，theory of sustainable transportation，which establish theoretical basis for the following research．Then，this paper analyze current situation of the road traffic network in Dongting Lake ecological economic zone from three aspects of the regional situation，traffic III 万方数据 location，traffic location，traffic contradistinction． Secondly，the Dongting Lake ecological and economic zone road network were evaluated at three levels，namely the overall evaluation，the comparative evaluation of prefecture-level cities，counties comparative evaluation．The comparative evaluation of prefecture-level cities and counties comparative evaluation build a comprehensive evaluation index system of traffic network in the Dongting Lake Ecological Economic Zone from the five aspects of driving force，pressure，state，impact， response based on DPSIR model．Finally，identify the main problems of developme
