Som e o f chem ca l defoam ers and the structures of m echan cal foam breakers w ere ntroduced w th the analys s of the r advan tages and d sadvantages, and a new-type m echan cal foam breaker w th var at onal d am eter w as presented. T h s breaker breaks foam through chang ng pressure tha t s cau sed when the foam passes the var at onal d am eter channe l and generat ng shear force due to rota t on.
