Abstract In order to standard the medicine dispensing, this paper developed a automated electronic medicine dispensering cabinet with high efficiency and precision.Specific studies on this medicine cabinet are as follows : 1. First of all, The overall design of whole system has been formulated along with its hardware units. Secondly, concerned the system selection and other aspects of the various components, Some control parts have been given: Industrial machines, Motion control card, Servo motor, Serial communication boards, etc. 2. The designing of softwares for PC control has finished three parts as follows : The operational controling of Timing belt; RS485 serial communication which completed the entire dispensing package for packaging machines; Custom protocol CAN communication to complete successful control dispensing between PC and the PC and the other accessories. 3. VC++ + SQL Server has been used for database designing and system dispensing. Whats more, it has provided the necessary data to support the entire program running and some other functions such as : entering medicines prescriptions and managing other basic patient informations manually, querying or modify ing the database is allowed as well.
