The experimental results show that the variations of structure parameters of screw-t ype distribut ors can make it hi hly flex ible and adaptable to the various requirements, but its head loss is hi her. T he o- verall heat transfer coefficient of the screw-type dist ributor is obviously reater than those of the toot h-type distributor and the cone-type distributor w hen it is used in a smooth-tube fallin -film evaporator . Above all, the synthetical capability of the screw- type dist ributor is optimal.
