S + V + O + O (主语+及物动词+间接宾语+直接宾语) Four types of sentences 四种句子类型 I. Simple sentence (简单句) Tom is interested in English and spends much time on it. II. The compound sentence (并列句) (1) using “;” (2) using “; + adv.” The car was almost new; besides,/ furthermore, it was in excellent condition. III. The complex sentence (主从复合句) IV.
