Based on 恼。verallliterature,也study is unfolded inωfive dimentions origin development, form, lconography,Iconology,and ∞n伽luity in the sty1e of 也e lotus image by ωmbining L∞nology,Stylistics, Culturalistics,Sociology,and formalistic analysis in the 阳dy of westem fine arts 隘sωry with traditional textual research and literature science. At 也e same 也ne,the lotus image is illustrated res阴暗,tively in four spaces-一-Buddhism art, design art,pure art and folk 缸1, which ∞nstitute Chinese art. In addition,each part of 也e 也esis is written by means of integrating diachronic study into synchronic study. This dissertation ∞,nsists of six chapters. Chapter one investi伊tes 也,e starting point of the lotus image in the history of Chinese omaments,也8t is, a definition of itsωcumIedme. Fur也ermore,也is part has discussed the relationships between the vogue of lotus and Buddhism.
