Unit7 Seasons (Reading 1)教案
Teaching aims:
1. Knowledge objects:
(1)Key vocabulary: butterfly, shower, memory, stream, shade, pile, upon, harvest, crop, as, temperature, drop
(2)Key phrases: among flowers, fall into piles upon the ground, harvest crops, be full of, forget to grow, fly far away.
(2)Learn some knowledge about the poem: rhyme
2. Ability objects:
(1)Be able to master and use the key vocabulary and phrases.
(2)Enable the students to understand the poem.
(3)Help the students learn some reading strategies: Finding the specific information from the passage by using the key words given in the questions.
(4)To read the poem, learn and master how to describe the seasons of the year.
3. Moral objects:
Educate Ss to love and protect the nature .
Teaching key points:
To read the poem, learn and master how to describe the seasons.
Teaching difficult points:
To understand the poem, learn the rhymes of the poem.
Teaching methods:
The situational teaching approach, task-based language teaching method, the activity teaching method, and the communicative approach.

Teaching procedure
Step1. Free talk
T: How many seasons are there in a year? What are they?
S1:There are four, they are spring, summer, autumn and winter.
T:Yes, four seasons make a year.Then which season do you like best? Why?
S2:...
S3:...
S4:...(Show some pictures to Ss in order to remind them to answer the questions.)
Step2. New words
The teacher reads the sentence of the poem and show the pictures of new words to Ss and ask Ss to read the new words or phrases after the teacher, then ask Ss to read the new words and phrases twice.
Step3. Skimming
Have Ss listen to the poem and at the same time skim the poem and match the seasons, pictures with the descriptions.
Ask them to complete it by the time they finish their listening.
Then give an example to Ss, and ask three Ss to answer it, check the answer with Ss.
Ask the Ss to answer with a whole sentence like
