Ⅰ. Warming-up and Lead in 1. Greet the Ss and check the duty report. 2. Watch a short MV and let Ss find a rule of this short MV . Ⅱ. Presentation 1. Show some pictures on the big screen. Present the new words and expressions. 2. Teacher teaches the new words and expressions. 3. Give Ss some time and try to remember the new words and expressions. Ⅲ. Practice(1a) 1.Teacher performs the actions and Ss guess the meaning. 2. Work on 1a. Ss read the activities and look at the pictures. Then match the activities with pictures. 3. Check the answers with the Ss. 4.Let Ss conclude the changes of the gerund rules. Add ‘ing’ to the Verbs. If the verb is ended up with ‘e’and the ‘e’ is mute, we’ll eliminate ‘e’and add ‘ing’. If the verb is made of ‘vowel+ consanont’and the consanont is streesed, we’ll write the consanont twice and add ‘ing’. T: Now lets play a game. Whats she/he doing? You must watch the big screen carefully. Pay attention to the abbreviation. 5. Give some cards to the Ss and let Ss perform the actions. e.g. T: What are you doing? S: I am doing homework. (Help him/her to answer) T: What is he /she doing? Ss: He /she is doing homework. 6.The present continuous tense现在进行时态 The definition:表示现在或现阶段正在进行的动作。 The basic sentense Structure(句子结构): Subject(主语)+be (am, is , are )+ V-ing(动词现在分词). Ⅳ. Listening (1b) 1. T: What are Jenny, John, Dave and Mary doing? Now let’s listen to the tape, find out the right activities from 1a. 2. Play the recording for the Ss twice. 3. Ss listen to the recording and write the numbers from 1a. 4.Ss follow the tape and practice the listening conversation(Let three pairs to practice the conversation). Ⅴ. Pair work (1c) Ask the Ss to read the conversations in 1c with a partner. Then look at the pictures in 1a. And conversations about other person in the picture. Ⅵ.Homework Recite the words and conversation in 1a1b. Preview(预习)2d of unit 6.
