T he phases and m-i crostructures for both coatings were characterized by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microsco- py, and the fracture toughness and microhardness for both coatings was also investigated. T he rela- tionship between properties and coating process were analyzed. T he results showed that the fracture toughness and density of the LPPS alumina coating excelled than that of APS pure alumina coating.
