Grasp the key points in 2b. 学习重难点： Write a description about a kind of animal. 学习过程： Step I: Lead-in: First, I`ll show students some pictures on the big screen and let them discuss the following question: What animals do you think are in great danger? (Discuss with your group members and check the animals in 2a.) After that, I will let some students share their answers. Step II: Fast-reading Task 1： Find the topic sentences . Task2 : Read the article quickly and try to find out the best title for it. （Finish the task of 2b on P29.） Step III: Careful- reading A task: Translate 2b in your groups and find out the places where you don`t understand. After that, I will teach Ss the imporant words and expressions in the passage in 2b. e.g. save, symbol, flag, forget, place, water, be in great danger, cut down, tree, kill, ivory… Step IV: Post- reading A task: finish 2c, that is, read the article again and complete the mind map.
