In this process, the basic research units, as the source of scientific and technological report resources, play a very important role to ensure the quality of scientific and technical reports. This paper, analyzes the metadata elements of scientific and technological reports, and the basic content of metadata quality assessment from the aspects of completeness, accuracy and consistency. At last, the paper takes about 410 internal scientific and technical report resources of ISTIC as an example, surveys, statistics and evaluation of the metadata quality of these information resources, and hope that this method can facilitate the quality control of scientific and technical reports, evaluate and improve the quality management of basic research units.
