Teaching goals
1. Grasp the present participle.
Ss can use “What is she doing? and She is...”correctly .Can use the new words to make sentences.
Train four skills . Stimulate interest in learning.

Ss can use “What is she doing ?/ What are they doing? and She is.../They are...”correctly. Ss can use the new words to make sentences.
Teaching steps
Step 1 Greeting and warm up
Ask “How are you? What are you doing ?”
Listen an English song “What are you doing?” Lead the Ss relaxed into class

.Step 2 Revision
Use words cards to review new words of this lesson
Play slides to review the composition of present participle.
running swimming reading playing drawing writing dancing and so on.
3. Show the slides to consolidation the present participle.
在动词后直接加- ing,如draw, play, sing, do等;
去掉末尾不发音的元音字母加- ing ,如make, take, write等;
双写最后一个字母加 -ing,如 sit, swim, run等。

Step 3 Play games “Flower drum transfer”
Listen to the music and pass the box. When the music stops, one St takes out a piece of paper from the box. Others Ss clap their hands and ask “ What are you doing?” The St who has the paper makes a sentence “ I’m ...”according to the word of the paper.

Step 4 Presentation
1 Use flash cards to guide “ What is she doing?”(板书课题)
2 Play more slides to practice the sentence pattern “ What is she doing?”and its answers. She is singing. She is writing. She is drawing,
3 Play slides to practice “What are they doing ? ” They are playing football. They are playing basketball. They are swimming. and so on.
Step 5 Drills
1. T asks, Ss answers.
2. Ss ask, T answers.
3. Ss ask, Ss answer. In pairs. In groups.
Step 6 Game “guess, guess , guess”.
Play some unclear picture
