《英语语言学导论》课程教学大纲 课程编号：015 一、课程说明 1. 课程代码 ZJ0401025 2. 课程类别 专业基础课 3. 适应专业及课程性质 英语（师范）专业 必修 4. 课程目的 （1）通过学习英语语言学的基本概念和核心问题，可以了解关于语言知识和语言理论知识，掌握语言使用的基本原理，并能初步运用这些原理解决英语使用中的问题； （2）通过该门课程，不仅帮助学生获取关于英语语言本身的知识，更开拓学生语言应用的视野。 5. 学时与学分 学时为30，学分为1.5. 6. 建议先修课程 基础英语、英语阅读、英语语法 二、课程教学基本内容及要求 第一章 概述 计划学时：3 基本要求： （1）掌握语言学中的重要概念和主要分支学科； （2）理解语言的定义、区别特征及语言学上的重要区分； （3）能够运用语言的识别特征知识描述一些简单的语言现象。 教学重点及难点： 重点：语言的区别特征； 难点：语言学中的重要概念。 基本内容： （1）语言学的定义和主要分枝； （2）语言的定义和特征； （3）语言学中重要概念。 思考题： （1）Define the following terms. Linguistics; langue; parole; competence; performance （2）What are the main branches of linguistics? What does each of them focus on? （3）What’s the difference between the descriptive study and prescriptive study of language? （4）What’s the major difference between Chomsky’s distinction of competence and performance and Saussure’s distinction of langue and parole? 第二章 语音学 计划学时：2 基本要求： （1）掌握英语语音的分类； （2）理解语音的发生与发声器官 ； （3）能够运用所学语音知识描述元音和辅音并能够运用所学理论区分音位。 教学重点及难点: 重点：语音的描写和音位理论； 难点：发音部位、音位变体、音系规则。 基本内容： （1）语音学的概念； （2）发声器官； （3）英语语音的分类。 思考题： （1）Define the following terms. Phonic medium; articulatory phonetics; phonetics; vowels; consonants; voicing （2）How do we classify vowels and how do we classify consonants? （3）How is articulatory phonetics different from acoustic phonetics and auditory phonetics? 第三章 音位学 计划学时：2.5 基本要求： （1）掌握音位学基本概念和基本要素及音素、 音位和音位变体的概念; （2）理解音位对立，互补分布和最小对立体，理解同化规则、序列规则的基本理论和超音段特征； （3）能够运用所学理论区分音位。 教学重点及难点: 重点：语音的描写和音位理论； 难点：音位变体、音系规则。 基本内容： （1）音位学的基本概念，音素、 音位和音位变体的概念, 音位对立，互补分布和最小对立体，宽式音标和严式音标； （2）音位规则：同化规则、序列规则； （3）超音段特征：重音、声调、语调。 思考题： （1）Define the following terms. Phonetics; phonemes; allophones; suprasegmental features （2）How do you distinguish between broad transcriptions and narrow transcriptions? （3）How is the concept of phonemic contrast different from the concept of complementary distribution? （4）Try to cite some examples to show the influence of suprasegmental features on the interpretation of meanings. 第四章 句法学 计划学时：4
