Disposal mode of migrant workers’ contracted land
based on the theory of endowment effect

Abstract: Based on the data of CHIP2013 migrant workers, this paper selects variables from the importance,
substitutability and stability of land, and makes an empirical analysis on the influencing factors of the rural migrant
workers' contracted land disposal by multiple ordered Logistic model. The results show that the endowment effect gets
weak in turn according to the farm land dispose model of left behind family members farming, subcontracting to
individuals, transferring to enterprises or agricultural large households, abandonment; the lower the land dependence of
farmers, the higher the income level of farmers, the more easy the land to be replaced ; the more the land market leaped,
the weaker the land endowment effect and the farmers are more willing to abandon the contractual management rights;
because of the endowment effect, a more stable contractual management right is not significantly related to the farmland
disposal of migrant workers.
