ABSTRACT Since Chinas accession to the World Trade Organization in 2001, rapid development of foreign trade has promoted rapid economic growth in Jiangsu province. The rapid growth of export trade is an important factor in promoting the growing of energy consumption and CO2 emissions. Experience has shown that the phenomenon of excessive growth of investment in Jiangsu province and a lot of high energy consumption and high emission industries is driven by blind capacity expansion and export trade; in order to reduce their energy consumption and exhaust emissions, developed countries pass on the production process of these high energy consumption and high emission. Therefore, the estimation of CO2 emissions, and the structure of export commodities in the export trade in Jiangsu Province has an important impact on the rational use of energy as well as carbon reduction targets. Take Jiangsu Province for example, on the basis of summing up the research results at home and abroad, the use of input-output model analysis of the status of the export commodity structure of Jiangsu Province, and select the appropriate calculation method, constructor the implied econometric model of export trade carbon emissions the structure of the decomposition, reveals the relationship between CO2 emissions and commodity structure of Jiangsu Province exports and existing problems. Specifically, the resource-intensive sector of the 2007 and 2010 data for CO2 emissions and thus reveal the existence of Jiangsu Province, the export commodity structure of input-output method estimates each industry sector products. Through empirical analysis, the conclusion: export commodity sector in Jiangsu Province is located in the processing and manufacturing of high strength carbon emissions, less relevant departments and lower carbon emission intensity of the financial industry, agriculture and service sectors.
