* A full-depth AC pavement by definition comprises wholly of AC layers. Therefore, a PATB and an AC separator layer are a must in this design. * This is a typical pavement section with a geotextile as a separator layer. The geotextile is being used as a separator layer to prevent intrusion of fines from the subgrade and is wrapped around the aggregate edgedrain, acting as a filter to allow water to pass through while preventing fines from clogging the edgedrain. * * This system consists of a nonerodible dense-graded base under the traffic lanes and a treated permeable base under the shou
