Attention is concentrated on the research about the plastic de formation of magnesium alloys under impact loading and high strain rate. Meanw hile, the properties and physical mechanisms of plastic deformation of magnesium alloys under different loads and over a w ide range of temperatures w ere review ed. Finally , several formula for describing the behaviors of magnesium alloys under dynamic loading at high strain rate w as summarized briefly, and some sugges tions on the study of magnesium alloys used as structural materials were offered.
