College of Management, Guizhou University, Guiyang 550025, China; 2.China Academy for Rural Development, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou 310012, China) Abstract: Based on the survey data from Liaoyang Province and Guizhou Province, using Logistic model, this article used 8 variables from the aspects of economy, relationship, customs and culture to explore the influence factors of farmers contract choice. The results show that: the factors including economic factors, original social relationship, education and custom affect significantly the farmers choice for the written contract or the oral contract. When the land rents are higher, the farmers tend to choose a written contract, while they tend to choose oral contract when their relationship is closer; farmers tend to be consistent with the majority of the village when choosing contact form, and the farmers with higher education level ten
