Book 8 A Unit 3 I’m more outgoing than my sister.

一、学习目标:
1. 语言知识目标:
1)熟练掌握以下单词:outgoing, both, better, loudly, quietly.
2)熟练掌握句型:
1)— That’s Tara , isn’t it ?
— No, it isn’t .It’s Tina .Tina is taller than Tara. And she sings also more loudly than Tara.
2)Both Sam and Tom can play the drums , but Sam plays them better than Tom.
3)能正确使用形容词和副词的比较级。
4)能在语言运用中注意语音语调和句子的重音。
2.技能目标:
1)能够听懂有关人物对比的对话,并能用英语谈论、描述人物特征,对人物进行比较并给出正确判断。
2)能读懂有关谈论人物对比的文章,并能用比较级写出有关描写人物的短文。
3.情感态度价值观目标:
教会学生在人际交往中要理解和尊重他人;学会交换不同的看法,了解他人的喜好,增进情谊;培养学生健康、活泼和积极向上的人生观。
二、教学重难点
1. 教学重点:
正确使用形容词和副词的比较级。
2. 教学难点:
形容词和副词比较级的构成及其变化规则。
扎实掌握形容词和副词的比较级并能灵活运用。
三、教法学法
教法:创设较为真实的语言环境,情境教学,先输入后输出,任务型教学。
学法:小组合作学习
四、教学过程
Ⅰ. Lead-in
以七年级所学最喜欢的学科为切入点,询问学生他最喜欢的及最不喜欢的学科是什么,并回答为什么来比较他们。让学生对比较级的构成有初步了解,结识“than”。
Ⅱ. Presentation
First, show the students some pictures to study more description words and the comparative degree by comparing the famous people.
Then , ask the students to write down the words’ comparative forms and read them together.
Next, let students know that only adjectives and adverbs have comparatives. Then take some examples to show that not all adjectives or adverbs have comparative forms.
Finally, let the students look at 1a , match the word with its opposite. Then check the answer.
Ⅲ. Listening
Ask students to look at the picture. According to the names and guess who is whose twin sister or who is whose twin brother.
Ask some students to say out their answers and why.
Now listen to the recording and number the pairs of twins in the picture〔1-3〕.
Then check the answers with the Ss.
Ⅳ. Pairwork
1. First , the teacher give Ss an example by asking the students some questions to differ Tara and Tina.
2. Have the students work in pairs to talk about the other two pairs of twins.
3. Let some pairs act their conversations.
Ⅴ. Summary
Let the Ss summary:
1. Only adj./adv. have comparative forms, but not all adjectives or adverbs have comparative forms.
2. Comparative is used
