Section A Grammar period 2 Teaching plan Analysis of the teaching material Status and function This is an important unit in the book of Grade two. The grammar focus, First conditional if clause, enables the students to talk about consequences in daily life. Learning goals Students get to know and summarize the structure and function of First conditional if clause . Students are able to use First conditional if clause to give advice by speaking , listening and writing . Teaching key points and difficulties First conditional if clause The ability to use the grammar in speaking ,listening and writing. Analysis of the students Most eighth graders have enough vocabulary and grammar knowledge. They want to use the language to do something with their life. Especially the grammar focus in this unit is related to their daily life, so it can arouse the students’ interest in learning English and improve their English ability. [设计意图] 此环节是热身环节,课前问候是增加师生情感的第一步。 Step 2:lead-in I will play the song “If you are happy” and ask students to sing it together. [设计意图] 把这首歌放在此处来唱的目的是因为此歌曲里的歌词里有大量的if 引导条件状语从句。用学生熟悉的歌词导入本节课将要学习的语法项目,即祈if 引导的条件状语从句。同时唱歌可以活跃课堂气氛。 Step 3:Presentation I will show Ss some pictures and ask them to try to complete the sentences , then checking them by challenging their memories . [设计意图] 通过第一课时的学习, 学生已经有了一定的目标语言基础,此处再结合图片挖空从空少到多的方式呈现if条件状语从句易于学生观察并发现其表达规律。之后的记忆挑战活动是为了检测学生对目标语言掌握的情况,以便下面总结它的结构和功能。 Step4:Try to find the target language 1. First the structure .
