Teaching goals:
Knowledge and ability:
Comparative Forms of Adjectives.
Talk about personal traits and compare people
Train Ss’ speaking and writing abilities.
Process and methods:
1.Through talking and writing, improve Ss the ability of writing and consolidate
Take Communicative teaching method and “Task –based’’ teaching method. I give them enough chances to practice, and I will use pair work, group work, and so on to let the students take an active part in all kinds of activities. That is “Learning by doing, learning by using”. Let the students be the masters of the class teaching, thus, student –centered teaching pattern is well shown.
Emotion, attitude and value:
1. Make the students be interested in good co-operation and competition.
2. Make the students love life , love work
3. Friendship is very important to everybody.
Teaching important points:
Talk about personal traits and grasp how to compare people.
Use Comparative Forms of Adjectives.

Improve the students’ speaking and writing skills.

Step 1:Free talk
1. Greetings.
2. Have the students describe their family with comparative.
Step 2:Watch a short video
Have the Ss watch a short video to review the usage of the comparative degree
Step 3:Presentation
Compare Wang Lingling and Liu lili to show their similarities and differences.
Step 4:writing
1. Work in groups to finish 3a.
2. Students make notes about two of their friends. One friend should be similar to them; the other friend should be different.
Step 5:Enjoying the sayings
Step 6:Summary
How to describe the similarities and differences between you and your best friend.
Step 7:Homework
1.Read the saying about friendship and polish your writing.
2. Write two paragraphs describing your friends.
