Learn superlatives with-(i)est and most. 教学重点和难点 Learn to make comparisons. Learn superlatives with-(i)est and most. 教学过程 一.Warming-up 1. Lead students to read the words in last unit. 2. Have a dictation of some comparatives. 二.Lead-in 1.Show some pictures of balls (ping-pong ball/tennis ball/basketball) Ask students to describe this picture using comparatives. Such as, basketball is bigger than tennis ball. Tennis ball is bigger than ping-pong ball. Or ping-pong ball is smaller than tennis ball. Ping-pong ball is smaller than basketball. 2. Above all, ask students to summarize that basketball is the biggest ball in three and ping-pong ball is the smallest one . 三.Present the new knowledge 1. Show some other pictures of many things or person to ask students to practice using superlatives. Which’s the biggest/ shortest… 2. Do some listening practice. 3. Lead students to make their own conversations to practice the target language. 四.Summary Lead students to make a summary about superlatives. 教学反思 In this period, I mainly pay attention to lead students to compare things. In order to help students learn superlative easily, I make plenty of practice about comparative. After practicing, students could find that it’s necessary to use superlative when there are more than three things or persons. I found that students could finish listening tasks but they had problem making conversations. So I may offer more information or materials to them to give them a hand.
