Ⅰ. Lead-in
1. Talking about:what kind of movie do you like? Who is your favorite actor or actress? Do you want to be an actor or actress?

2.Ask and answer:
─ What do you want to be when you grow up?
─ I want to be a basketball player.
Review the words they have learned: teacher, nurse, doctor, basketball player, runner, actor, actress…
【设计意图】:以问的形式呈现学过的职业单词
3. Brainstorm: students write down and say out the nsmes of the jobs.
【设计意图】:希望在最短的时间内激活学生的已有知识,通过分享,做到互补。
Ⅱ. Presentation
1. Present the new words by using the pictures :
computer programmer, cook, engineer, violinist, pianist, pilot, scientist,…
2. Memorize the words in 1a by writing down Chinese meanings。
3. Tell Ss to rank them [1-12]. 1 is most interesting, 12 is least interesting.
4. Read the new words by yourself and try to remember the new words.
