I. Teaching aims:
To learn the new words: polluted, planet, earth, plant, peace, sea, sky , play a part
To learn to use the following sentences to predict the future life.
1) Kids will study at home. 2) Will People use money in 100 years? 3) There will be less trees.
Moral Objects: We should try our best to save the earth, our only home.
II. Teaching focus:
1. To describe future life with the future tense.
III. Teaching procedure.
Step1 Warm up and Lead in
Sing a song together: Row Row Row your Boat
(一首与梦想有关的歌,能够将学生引入对未来的遐想)
PPT show the pictures of several cities.
(选取学生较熟悉的城市图片尤其是楚雄,很快将学生引入本节课的话题:对未来生活的预测)。
—T: Do you love Chuxiong?
—Ss: Yes, I do.
—T: What do you think of Chuxiong?
—Ss: I think...
—T: What will be Chuxiong like in the future?
—Ss: I think...
Step2 Work on 2d: Role-play the conversation
Ask the students 2 questions
1). What will the future be like in the book?
2). What should we do?
(意图:让学生总体理解这段对话)
Learn some key points of this conversation with students.
Listen to the conversation.
All the boys role play Nick, and all the girls role play Jill to read the dialogue.
Pair work to role play the conversation.
(次环节鼓励学生多用自己的语言)
Step3. Grammar

PPT show some sentences with pictures to sum up the key points.

PPT show some other sentences with pictures to sum up the key points.
(意图:让学生通过在轻松的语言环境中理解一些句子来自己总结出语法规律。)
Step4. Grammar focus
Ask students to read the table aloud with the form of pair work.
Fill in the blanks together.
Step5. Work on 3a: Fill in the blanks with more, less, or fewer.
Let the students finish the job by themselves.
