Attachments 26 1.0 SCOPE The purpose of this Method Statement is to describe the Methodology involved in construction of Kerbing Works , Foot paths and paved areas in accordance with project technical specifications, international standards and codes, local rules and regulations (QCS-2010). This method statement will cover the following works: Precast concrete paving blocks Concrete kerbs unitWorks Asphalt Works 2.0 PERMITS AND LICENSES The Permits and License required for commencement of the work shall be obtained prior starting any site activities, the permits and license shall be obtained from the Following: KAHRAMAA Ooredoo Qatar Municipality Ministry of Environment Public Work Authority 3.0 SEQUENCE OF WORK FOR KERBING, FOOT PATHS AND PAVED AREA 3.1 Concrete Works 3.1.1 General The following are the types of precast kerbs to be constructed where designated together with associated channels, edgings and quadrants: (a) Non-mountable. (b) Dropped. (c) Flush. The dimensions and shapes of the different kerb types shall be as per the details in BS EN 1340 unless otherwise shown on the drawings or designated in the contract. The bedding and support for such units shall be as shown on the drawings. Except as modified in this Part, all precast concrete kerbs, channels, edgings and quadrantsshall be hydraulically pressed complying with BS EN 1340.
