Section A (1a-2b). 1a is a picture about two boys making a banana milk shake. So it is a preparation for 1b. 1b is the process of how to make a banana milk shake. 2a and 2b is about how to make fruit salad. The whole parts introduce the culture of western food. Teaching objectives By the end of class, students are able to Language knowledge use the target language, such as peel, pour, turn on, yogurt, honey, etc. use adverbs of sequence correctly. ask the amount of ingredients by using “how many/how much” Language skills develop their listening skill, such as writing down the initials for shorthand, numbering the words first and then completing them after listening. Affect talk about the process of making food. know the culture of western food. work in group and they learn to help each other in order to finish task. Language focus and anticipated difficulties Language focus: Ss can grasp the usage of the target language, such as turn on, one spoon of honey, etc. Ss can use adverbs of sequence and describe a process of making food. Anticipated difficulties: Ss have difficulties in distinguish the difference between “pour” and “put”. Ss may find it hard to describe the process with adverbs of sequence.
