----Why are you selling it?

----How much is it?
----You can have it for 71 cents.
T: How many questions are there?
Ss: Three.
T: What’s the first question?
Ss: How long have you had it?
T: What’s the second question?
Ss: Why are you selling it?
T: What’s the last question?
Ss: How much is it?
List the three questions on the blackboard.
Step 2 Presentation.
Show Picture 1. Look at the information on the screen and answer questions.
T: What’s this?
S1: This is an old bread maker and that is a new bread maker.
T: How long have you had it?
S2: Ten years. I’ve had it for ten years.
T: Why are you selling it?
S3: Because I have a new bread maker.
T: How much is it?
S4: You can have it for $10.
T: Now you and your partner, practice the dialogue like this.
Check a pair.
