Unit 4第一课时教学设计
Section A(1a-2b)
Teaching Aims:
1.Master the key words and expressions: allow, wrong,What’s wrong? Why don’t you...? Why not...?
2.Learn how to ask for others’ opinons,how to give suggestions and how to respond to others’ advice.
3.Cultivate students’ listening and speaking skills.
Teaching Key Points:
1.Master the key words and sentence patterns.
2.Learn how to ask for others’ opinions,how to give suggestions and how to respond to others’ advice.
Teaching Difficult Points:
Learn how to ask for others’ opinions,how to give suggestions and how to respond to others’ advice.
Teaching Procedures:
Step 1 Lead-in
1. Greet with Ss as usual and check their homework.
2. Warm-up.
Step 2 Presentation
1. Teach the new words.
Show the new words on the screen. Read the new words and ask Ss to repeat. Make sure that Ss understand the meanings of them.
2. Teach activity 1a.
T: These days kids have too much stress from school. Do you have any stress from school? What are they?
Point to the problems and ask five Ss to read the problems to the class.
Read each sentences again and ask Ss to repeat it. Ask Ss to explain in their own wordds what each sentence means. They can point to parts of the picture, use actions, simple drawings on the board and simple sentences.
Step 3 Practice
1. Teach activity 1b.
Listen and circle the problems you hear in 1a. Listen twice. Then check the answers.
2. Teach activity 1c.
Eg: A: What’s wrong?
B: I’m really tired because I studied until midninght last night.
C: Why don’t you go to sleep earlier this evening?
3. Look at the problems in 1a and make conversations like this.
A: What’s wrong with you ?
B: I ….
A: Why don’t you…?/Why not…?
B: Good idea. I will do it at once.
Step 4 Listening
1.Activity 2a
T: Now Peter has a problem. His friend is givng him some advice. What is his problem? And what advice does his friend give? First listen to the conversation and find out what his problem is and what should he do? Fill in the blank
