Step 2 New words learning Show some pictures about balls and teach the new words. Step 3 Let’s play a game. Ask students to look at the pictures carefully and guess what kind of ball it is. Step 4 Make sentences. Ask students to make sentences according to the example. I have a basketball. I don’t have a soccer ball. He has a basketball. He doesn’t have a ping-pong ball. Step 5 Practice the conversation. Teacher gives the example conversation and encourages ss to make conversations with the given pictures. Do you have a soccer ball? Yes, I do. Do you have a basketball? No, I don’t. Step 6 Listening. Ask students to finish the listening on page 25. Step 7 Do a survey and practice the target language Ask ss to do a survey and report their survey results. Step 8 Exercises Step9 Summary Ask students to sum up what we’ve learnt today.
