He discovered that many of the same inventive principles were used over and over again in many different fields of technology. He reasoned that if this knowledge was available in a generic way, that the speed of industrial innovation could be greatly accelerated. He spent his whole life summarizing and analyzing these principles, and with today’s software tools, this information is available at your fingertips. Coupled with a state of the art, simple to use, functional analysis diagramming tool, it is now easy to identify major contradiction areas and immediately identify the potential solution concepts. * * * * * * Our first task is to state Ideality.
